Our vintage kantha quilts and throws are handmade in India from up-cycled cotton saris. They can be used on the bed, as a sofa throw, in fact anywhere you want a bit of extra warmth and a splash of colour. Each piece is unique, so the size and the stitching detail can vary. Little patches and extra embroidery add character and charm.
Each side of a vintage kantha is made from different fabric, the first six photos show one side of the quilt and the last photo shows the reverse side. This quilt has quite a lot of wear and you can see the fabric underneath showing through where it has been rubbed away. As it is a particuarly thick and heavy piece this adds a certain charm.
Size: 1.48m wide x 2.28m long (W58in x L90in). This quilt will fit a single bed and will go across a double bed/4ft6"/140cm and a 5ft UK king/US queen/160cm bed or a 6ft super king/180cm as a throw.
100% Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
