This antique French linen sheet is a soft white and is decorated on the top edge with a beautiful embroidered monogram DC. It has a good weight to it and is a high quality linen. Excellent condition.
This sheet measures 2.12m wide x 3.44m long. (83 inches wide x 135 inches long). It will fit a single bed and a double bed 4ft 6in/140cm wide. The hand embroidered monogram DC measures 27cm across and is 14cm high.
The linen was woven on a narrow loom, so there is a very neat hand stitched join down the middle of the bedsheet, and the hems top and bottom are both beautifully hemmed by hand. There is a second set of initials embroidered in red cross stitch on one corner.
It has been freshly laundered and is ready to use. It would also make a lovely bed cover or tablecloth or use it to make a curtain.
