This kantha throw has been handmade in India from up-cycled fabric that has been overstitched in chain stitch with a suzani style pattern. Kantha quilts and throws are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.
Each side of a vintage kantha is different. The first five photos show one side of the quilt and the last two photos show the reverse side. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular and patches are often added to the quilts.
Size: 1.68m wide x 2.36m long (W66" x L93"). This quilt will fit a single bed or go across a double bed, 5ft/king/US queen bed/160cm and a 6ft/super king/180cm bed as a throw.
