This colourful kantha quilt has been handmade in India from strips of up-cycled fabrics. Kantha quilts are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.
Use as a throw, bed cover, picnic blanket or table cloth. They can also be used in your interior design projects to make curtains, blinds and cushions and to cover headboards, footstools or chairs.
The first six photos show one side of the quilt and the last two photos show the reverse side. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular. This quilt has a lovely texture, beautiful stitching and some little Liberty print patches that I have added.
Size: 1.36m wide x 2m long (W54in x L79in). This quilt will fit a single bed or go across a double bed as a throw. This smaller size also looks great folded over the back of a sofa.
Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
