This colourful kantha quilt has been handmade in India from strips of up-cycled fabrics. Kantha quilts are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.
Use as a throw, bed cover, picnic blanket or table cloth. They can also be used in your interior design projects to make curtains, blinds and cushions and to cover headboards, footstools or chairs.
The first five photos show one side of the quilt and the last photo shows the reverse side. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular. this quilt has some wear on the reverse side and lots of little patches.
Size: 1.42m wide x 1.85m long (W56in x L73in). This quilt will fit a single bed or go across a double bed as a throw. This smaller size also looks great folded over the back of a sofa.
Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
