This antique French quilt has been beautifully hand quilted on white cotton fabric and trimmed with a crocheted border. This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the mid 19th century, and is in excellent condition on both sides with no visible wear or marks.
The quilt measures 1.5m wide x 1.6m long (59inches x 63inches)
The crochet trim does not quite go around all 4 sides, and perhaps because the trim was never finished that's why the quilt was never used and is in such amazing condition.
This quilt has been laundered.
