This antique French cotton petticoat is made from a mid-weight white cotton, so would be suitable to wear as a skirt. Iit closes with ties at the waist and has a very pretty broderie anglaise trim.
The waist measures 64cm (25inches) , the length is 97cm (38inches). It will fit a size US 2, UK 6, EU 34. The diameter of the bottom of the skirt is 2.50m (98inches). The broderie anglaise frilled trim is 24cm deep.
It is in good condition, but there are two small holes and one small mark.
Suitable for customisation or just wear as it is - a pretty summer skirt.
There are a lot of gathers in this skirt, so plenty of fabric should you wish to make ithe waistband larger, or use the fabric and trim for other projects.
Care instructions: machine wash 30C, line dry.
