This rustic antique French hemp sheet is a creamy colour, it's quite a heavy fabric and would be suitable for upholstery or curtains. Know in France as chanvre, this fabric is natural and hardwearing.
This flat sheet measures 1.98m wide x 3.4m long. (78 inches wide x 134 inches long). There is a join down the centre of the sheet where two narrow pieces of fabric have been joined to make a wider piece. An L has been embroidered on the top of the sheet in cross stitch, now faded to a soft pink.
It has been freshly laundered and is ready to use. It would also make a lovely bed cover or tablecloth or use it to make a curtain and it would be ideal for sewing projects or dyeing. This is an exceptional piece in amazing condition with one small patch, a darn and one area with a light mark.
