This antique French quilt has a very pretty Provencal print on both sides and a red border. This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the late 19th century and is in good condition for its age. The reverse side is more faded than the front side, which has some fading and a few marks which barely show. This quilt is in 'as found' condition but it is clean and fresh.
It would still look very decorative used on a table, or folded on the back of a sofa as a display item or document piece.
The quilt measures 0.90m wide x 1.08m long (35 inches x 43inches)
