White Vintage Kantha Quilt Throw

This colourful kantha quilt has been handmade in India from a patchwork of strips of up-cycled fabrics.  Kantha quilts are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.  Little patches in different colours have been added to this beautiful piece.

Use as a throw, bed cover, picnic blanket or table cloth. They can also be used in your interior design projects to make curtains, blinds and cushions and to cover headboards, footstools or chairs.

Each side of a vintage kantha is made from a different fabric.  The first six  photos show one side of the quilt , the last three photos show the reverse side which is half white and half green. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular. 

Size:  W1.51m x L2.14m (W59in x L84in). This quilt will fit a single bed. It will also go across a double bed and a 5ft king size/ US Queen bed as a throw.

Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
