Vintage Red Check Cover.

This vintage cotton and hemp eiderdown cover was hand loomed in eastern Europe. The bedcover consists of four pieces of narrow fabric stitched together to form the cover. The front is made from a red check cotton fabric which is soft to the touch but has a good weight to it and the back is an older off white hemp fabric, both sides are in very good condition, with one small mark on the reverse side (see the last photo). Originally this type of cover would have been stuffed with an eiderdown. Buttons close the cover.

Use as a duvet cover, throw or to make a huge floor cushion or smaller cushions. The first 5 photos show one side of the cover and the next 3 photos show the reverse side and the opening at the bottom of the cover.

Cover size : 1.26m wide (50inches ) x 1.35m long (53inches).

Care instructions: Machine wash - 30C. Line dry.
