Vintage Kantha Throw

This colourful kantha quilt has been handmade in India from a patchwork of strips of up-cycled fabrics.  Kantha quilts are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.  Little patches in different colours have been added to this beautiful piece.

Each side of this vintage kantha is made from different fabric.  The first five photos show one side of the quilt and the last two show the reverse side.  Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular and patches are often added to the quilts. 

Size:  W1.33m x L2m (W52" x L79"). This throw will fit a single bed and also go across a double bed and a 5ft king/US queen/160cm bed as a throw.

Cotton. Machine wash 30C.  

All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and come ready to use.
