Antique Italian Raw Silk Damask Fabric Panel

This antique raw silk damask fabric panel is the most amazing golden yellow colour, an egg yolk yellow and in excellent condition (I don't think it has ever been used). It dates from the late 1800's and is most likely Italian. Woven on a narrow loom, this large piece is made up of 4 panels each measuring 67 cms carefully hand stitched together. This fabric panel would make a beautiful curtain, wall hanging or use for light upholstery.

The first two photos are the most accurate depiction of the colour, but you can see how it catches the light in the other photos.

The fabric length measures 2.8m long x 2.68m wide (110 inches long x 106 inches wide) .
