Our vintage kantha quilts and throws are handmade in India from up-cycled cotton saris. They can be used on the bed, as a sofa throw, in fact anywhere you want a bit of extra warmth and a splash of colour. Each piece is unique, so the size and the stitching detail can vary. Little patches and extra embroidery add character and charm.
Each side of a vintage kantha is made from different fabric, the first five photos show one side of the quilt and the last photo shows the reverse side. This quilt has been screen printed with a Persian carpet design in soft pretty colours.
Size: 1.72m wide x 2.30m long (W68in x L90in). This quilt will fit a single bed and will go across a double bed/4ft6"/140cm, a 5ft UK king/US queen/160cm bed and a 6ft/ Uk super king/180cm bed as a throw.
Light weight. This quilt could be used as a floor covering, but I would only suggest it is used on a bedroom floor.
100% Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
