This antique French quilt has a striking floral print on one side and a warm red cotton damask on the other side. The quilt measures 1.26m x 1.20m (50 inches x 47inches).
This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the early 20th century, and is in good condition with some small holes and repairs on the front side (see the last three photos).
The quilt is entirely hand stitched. A border in a brown stripe has been added on one side of the quilt.
Use on a small bed, folded on the back of a sofa or use as a wall hanging perhaps behind a bed.
Cotton with wool filling.
This quilt has been gently hand washed.
