This vintage French quilt has a bold roses print on the front side, which is in very good condition (no marks and one small hole). However the reverse side is damaged and marked. The quilt has been machine washed so is clean and fresh.
This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the early 20th century. The first 5 photos show one side of the quilt, and the last 2 show the reverse side.
This quilt would lovely across the back of a sofa, made into cushions, or you could take it on as a repair project. Quilts like this were often re-backed with other fabrics. The underside of the quilt is the part that gets the most wear which is why you often see patches and repairs on the reverse side of antique and vintage quilts.
