Striped Vintage Kantha Quilt Throw

This colourful kantha quilt has been handmade in India from a patchwork of strips of up-cycled fabrics and woven trim.  Kantha quilts are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch. 

Use as a throw, bed cover, picnic blanket or table cloth. They can also be used in your interior design projects to make curtains, blinds and cushions and to cover headboards, footstools or chairs.

Each side of a vintage kantha is made from a different fabric.  The first six  photos show one side of the quilt, the last photo shows the reverse side which is half deep blue  and half green. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular. 

Size:  W1.37m x L2.2m (W54in x L87in). This quilt will fit a single bed. It will also go across a double bed and a king size/ US Queen bed as a throw.

Cotton. Machine wash 30C. All our quilts are freshly laundered in the UK and are ready to use.
