Vintage Blue & Purple Kantha Throw

This kantha throw has been handmade in India from up-cycled block print fabric.  Kantha quilts and throws are made from layers of fabric sewn together with a tiny running stitch known as a kantha stitch.  Extra embroidery is often added, and you will never find two that are the same. 

Each side of a vintage kantha is made from different fabric. Photos two and three show each side of the quilt. Vintage kanthas are a handmade product, the pattern and stitching can be irregular and patches are often added to the quilts. 

Size:  W1.58m x L2.36m (W62" x L93"). This throw will fit a single bed and also go across a double, king and super king size bed as a throw.

Cotton. Machine wash 30C.
