Vintage French Bedspread Single

A beautiful vintage French cotton bedspread, the main section of the bedspread has been knitted and the frill around all four sides has been crocheted. This unusual piece could also be used as a tablecloth or throw. Handmade in the early 20th century and in excellent condition.  The work that has gone into this bedspread is really incredible. The end result is a beautiful and unusual piece that despite being just one colour has real depth and texture with the different stitches that have been used. The last photo shows the reverse side.

It measures 1.6m wide x 1.9m long (63inches wide x 75 inches long)

It will fit a  single bed and could be used across a double bed (4ft6inches /140cm) bed.
