Antique silk moire striped fabric panel in beautifully soft colours that work so well together.
It is in good condition but has areas of damage and a few marks.
The fabric measures 2.24m wide x 1.6m long (88 inches wide x 63 inches long) . Two widths have been sewn together to create this wide panel.
It dates from the learly 1900's and is most likely French. It had previously been used as a wall covering as there are tack holes on one edge and some damage in places. However, there is plenty of fabric to use: make a blind, cushions or a stunning waistcoat or jacket.
The colours of the stripes and the feel of the silk are truly exceptional.
