Each side of this antique French quilt has a beautiful print in warm autumn colours. In fact, I can't decide which side I prefer, they are both gorgeous.
The quilt measures 1.92m x 1.96m long (76 inches x 77 inches).
This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the mid 19th century, and is in excellent condition with just a few faint marks on one side (see the last photo).
The quilt is entirely hand stitched .
Use it on the bed, folded on the back of a sofa or use as a wall hanging perhaps behind a bed.
Cotton with wool filling.
This quilt has been gently machine washed.
