Vintage French Curtain Panel
This beautiful French curtain panel dates from the 1930's, entirely hand stitched from linen and linen thread in a soft white colour. The centre panel is Venitian embroidery with the side panels in the style of Richelieu embroidery. There are pretty little tassels on the hem of the curtain. This type of curtain is used as a panel to provide privacy and filter light into the room.
The curtain is in very good condition, there is some wear at the top of the curtain, see the last 3 photos. It would benefit from having a panel of linen sewn to the top of the curtain, in order to support its weight when it is hung from a pole.
The curtain measures 2.06m wide x 2 .04m long (which includes the bobbles which are 4cm long)(81 inches wide x 80inches long)
Care instructions: hand wash carefully and drip dry.
