This antique French whole cloth quilt dates from the mid 19th century and has a beautiful baton rompu Mulhouse floral design on one side and a plainer print on the reverse side. Both sides are in excellent condition , although there is a little fading on the reverse side and a small mark. The quilt has a wool filling.
A rare and truly stunning antique French quilt, the colours are warm and rich.
The quilt measures 2.2m wide x 2.2m long (87inches x 87inches)
This quilt is in as found, not freshly laundered condition, but it is clean.
Will fit a UK King/US Queen/160cm. It would also make a spectacular wall hanging.
