Antique French Cornelys Single Curtain
This antique French curtain is made from fine cotton lawn, embroidered with crewel work - known in France as 'les rideaux de Cornelys'. This curtain dates from the 1900's and has a scalloped edge on three sides. These curtains have been altered and the heading has a channel sewn in to the top edge so you can slide the curtains on to your curtain pole or baton .
This curtain is in good condition. There are quite a few tiny holes but by the time the curtain is loosely gathered on a pole the holes will be barely noticeable. Although there is only one curtain, it could be hung centrally between a pair of heavier curtains to give privacy and a soft light.
Size: This curtain measures 1.57m wide x 1.18m long (62 inches wide x 46inches long)
Care instructions: hand wash only, no spin and line dry.
