This antique French quilt has a very pretty Provencal pattern on one side and a beautiful paisley design on the reverse side. It has been quilted by hand and the floral side is in excellent condition but the paisley side has a lot of wear - see the last photo as an example. This country style handmade French quilt or 'boutis' dates from the late 19th century. It would still be useable as a quilt, but would also make a fantastic wall hanging perhaps behind a bed.

The quilt measures 2.36m x 2.62m (93inches x 103inches)

Will fit a 5ft/king/US queen bed and a 6ft/super king size bed.

Cotton with wool filling.
