This vintage blanket or throw comes from Eastern Europe and measures 1.3m wide x 2m long (51inches x 79inches).
Use on the bed or as a sofa throw, it can also be used for upholstery, to make cushions or bench seat covers.
Woven on a narrow loom there is a join down the centre of the piece. The colourful stars have been embroidered on to the blanket.
The condition is very good, but there are a few marks which are barely noticeable - see the last photo.
Hemp, cotton and wool.
