Large Hungarian Fine Hemp Black Bedcover Or Curtain

This vintage soft hemp bedcover was hand-woven on a narrow loom in a traditional black and white design and comes from the south of Hungary near the Croatian border. Three pieces of fabric have been stitched together to create a wider piece. 

This piece would originally have been used as a bedcover or as a curtain, but could also be used to make a blind, a wall hanging or fold across the back of a sofa.

The fabric is in excellent condition, has a soft feel to it and quite a loose weave that drapes beautifully.  It looks as if it has never been used. 

Size: 1.42m wide (56inches ) x 2.6m long (102inches).

The striped black decorative section measures 1.42m wide (56inches) x 0.98m long (39inches)


Care instructions:Machine wash cool.
