This antique French quilt has a pretty floral linen with roses and carnations on one side and a fine cotton stripe on the reverse side. This country style French quilt or 'piqué' dates from the mid-19th century.
The quilt measures 1.89m wide x 2.46m long (74 inches x 97inches)
The floral side is in good condition with a few marks which due to the colours of the floral pattern hardly show (see the last photo). The reverse side has been repaired and has some damage to the centre. The quilt has been laundered and is clean and fresh.
