This antique French cotton petticoat is made from a mid-weight white cotton, so would be suitable to wear as a skirt, it closes with ties that gather at the side of the waist. Very pretty broderie anglaise hand embroidered trim.
It will fit a size US 6 to 10, UK 10 to 14, EU 38 to 36. The waist is adjustable and will fit a waist from 72cm to 90cm (28inches to 35inches) , the length is 107cm (42inches).
The diameter of the bottom of the skirt is 3.10m (122inches). The broderie anglaise frill is 32cm deep and the actual embroidery is 16cm deep. The initials JB have been embroidered on to the front of the waist band.
This pretty skirt is in very good condition, but there is one small mark (see the last photo).
Suitable for customisation or just wear as it is - a pretty summer skirt.
There are a lot of gathers in this petticoat, so plenty of fabric should you wish to make the waistband larger, or use the fabric for other projects.
Care instructions: machine wash 30C, line dry.
