Antique Alsace Kelsch Fabric Navy Blue & Red Check

Antique navy blue, red and white plaid check fabric. It comes from the Alsace region of France and is know as kelsch fabric, a mix of handwoven linen and cotton. This piece was probably the front of a bedcover.   The fabric was woven on a narrow loom so there is a join down the middle.  It is in excellent condition, no marks or wear. Use to make cushions, a blind or a tablecloth. 

Size : 1.54m wide (61inches ) x 1.72m long( 68inches). 

Care instructions: Machine wash - warm. Line dry.
